Wall of Trailer Trash

I just got back from meeting with fellow event coordinator Aislinn Tomchak, where we finalized some last details regarding the shooting of the Trailer Trash original content I alluded to last post.

Phrases like “we can just film some tomato ooze” and “I have all sorts of windows; big ones, ones with screens, etc.,” were used, which is definitely indicative of something. Something good, even.

And check out this exciting, small promotional image I took. This stuff is really real.

If you guys could take this and get the entire internet talking about it like Radiohead did in the last three days, that would be great!

Hey Guys, I’m Blogging, Or, The Internet, They Call It Blogging

Hi, NJFA blog readers. Current population: Maybe three.

My name is Peter Van Brunt, one of a few event coordinators for the New Jersey Film Alliance. Which basically has me helping out as much as I can and going to a bunch of meetings. Which is good. Also, I write the newsletter. And now I’m writing this for the blog.

As far as actual news goes, I’m currently working on writing some short, original…things, to be played during our upcoming Trailer Trash event. I don’t want to give too much away yet, but most people have seemed at least vaguely amused at what we’ve come up with so far.

I think we have some good ideas!

Obviously tangential content: This blog was originally, maybe, going to be about how I saw (500) Days of Summer. Except then I didn’t see the movie and instead did nothing nearly as relevant. So, here it is, a total shell of what it could have been.

Also, maybe follow me on Twitter (http://twitter.com/petervanbrunt) if you would like to know what I’m up to, but barely since I’m sure it’s overly cryptic. By percentage, it’s about 50% when I’m waiting in a parking lot, 25% what unhealthy thing I’m currently eating, and 25% posting music items that you probably won’t trust me about.

The New Jersey Film Alliance Official Blog

This will be the official blog of the New Jersey Film Alliance (NJFA). We will use this site to update members and the general public about what we are working on, events that we have held or went to, and general film & media goings on.

Our Mission

The New Jersey Film Alliance is dedicated to exposing the vibrant arts community of New Jersey to diverse forms of film, video and media. Through its programs the NJFA seeks to discover, support and inspire independent artists and audiences. We aim to educate the community about both the creative and artistic merits of independent and international film but also about the creation of these pieces as well.

Who We Are

The New Jersey Film Alliance was formed in 2009 to provide a unique and specialized experience, encourage growth in individuals, and ensure the existence of film and video in our culture. We are a diverse group of artists, industry insiders, educators and media consumers, the creators of the NJFA strive to create a unified arts community throughout NJ. Based out of Freehold NJ, we actively seek out unique film opportunities, both in screenings and productions. Our programs involved both the seasoned film fan as well as filmmakers of all levels.

Please feel free to visit us at http://www.njfa.com and we’ll be posting more, soon!
